Street Light Maintenance
Derbyshire County Council are responsible for all lighting on roads, footpaths, major roads and some dual carriageways.
Reporting a problem with street lights
To report any issues with street lighting within your area please contact Call Derbyshire (details at bottom of page). Please provide as much information as possible about the type of problem including:
- Location - the road name and general location or, if applicable, the number of nearest property to the light.
- Column Number - each street light has a unique number which will help to identify it.
- Problem - is the light damaged, not working, on all day, dim or flickering?
If you report a lamp column that's leaning or damaged, an inspector will come out to assess the damage and determine how urgent the job is.
