Gully Cleaning
North East Derbyshire District Council is Agent to Derbyshire County Council for the cleansing of highway surface water gullies within the district.
Arrangements for gully cleansing:
- Highway gullies are cleansed on an annual basis. Certain gullies on primary routes are cleansed twice yearly.
- Blocked and flooded highway gullies are also cleansed on an emergency basis.
- If a highway gully is blocked we will try to clear the blockage up to 1 metre up the pipework. If we cannot clear the blockage, it is passed to Derbyshire County Council.
