Highway Accidents & Spillages
On occasions the District Council receive service requests to clear spillages of substances and items resultant from road traffic accidents on the highway.
The Council is responsible, as principal litter authority, for litter and detritus (i.e. sediment build up) on the highway. It is not directly responsible for matters of highway safety, this is the responsibility of the highway authority, Derbyshire County Council.
