Entries are now being invited for a new entertainment contest to be held in North East Derbyshire in 2020.

The North East Derbyshire District Council Festival of Brass will be held at Tupton Hall School in Chesterfield on Sunday 21st June 2020.

We are passionate about providing events which enables the whole community to get together and listen to fantastic music and enjoy incredible performances by talented local and national bands”.

The contest will see Section A open for Championship and First Section competitors, with Section B for contenders from the Second, Third and Fourth Sections.

The podium finishers in Section A will take home £600, £300 and £200 respectively, whilst those in Section B will win £300, £200 and £100.

  • Shopping Open or Close

Our towns and villages have a wide range of shopping experiences for all to enjoy.

We have a mix of major high street names and small independent retailers which provide something a little bit different. You’ll find the finest produce from the village grocers or you can shop in style at fashionable antiques, art and craft galleries.

We also have an abundance of good places to eat and drink whatever your taste: from village tea rooms to award winning restaurants, and local pubs to international cuisine. Eat by a reservoir, in the countryside, outside a village pub, or in a busy high street - the choice is yours. As well as eating out, we have many farm shops and outlets from where you can get local produce for your stay or to take home.

You can get more information on eating out through the Visit Peak District website.
