North East Derbyshire District Council is supporting this year’s National Customer Service Week (3-7 October), with events for residents lasting the whole week!
Launched by the Institute of Customer Service, National Customer Service Week is a week-long opportunity to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays in successful business practice and the growth of the UK economy.
To celebrate the week and highlight some of the services available to our residents, the following events will take place at our main council offices on Mill Lane, Wingerworth:
Monday 3rd October
Energy Advice, 9am to 12noon
Speak to an energy expert to discuss how you can reduce your energy bills and receive energy advice.
Citizens Advice Bureau, 9am to 1pm
Free, independent, confidential, impartial advice on debt/ money, immigration, legal, relationships, consumer advice and more.
Tuesday 4th October
Working Communities / National Careers Service, 9am to 12noon.
If you require help with finding employment, preparing your CV, filling in job applications or interview techniques come and speak to our Senior Community Employment Advisor and see how we can assist you.
Keeping your home safe and secure, 2pm to 4pm.
Our Anti-Social Behaviour Team will be on hand to help you keep your home safe and secure.
Wednesday 5th October
Top recycling tips, 9am to 1pm
Speak to our Recycling Promoters about how to recycle, what to recycle and what happens to your recycling after collection - and any other related questions around recycling you would like answered.
Thursday 6th October
Credit Union, 9am to 12noon
Debt and money advice, savings and loans.
Derbyshire County Council Affordable Credit Project, 1pm to 4pm
Find out how local Community Banks can help you save and borrow responsibly and safely.
Friday 7th October
Derbyshire County Council First Contact Scheme, 9am to 1pm
Chat to us about staying safe and secure at home, housing support, social and recreational activities, befriending services, coping with daily activities, how to access benefits and health and wellbeing support.
