Community Action Grants - receive up to £500!

Community Action Grants enable groups operating in North East Derbyshire to access up to £500 grant funding to support residents to tackle local issues in the District that support our Council Plan.

The funding is open to formally constituted groups and non-constituted groups who are sponsored by an organisation who will act on their behalf, such as a Town or Parish Council or other constituted group. The scheme is not open to businesses.

We welcome applications which aim is to help or promote awareness of: the benefits of physical activity, community events, local community improvements, reducing social isolation, raising awareness of climate change, improving recycling rates and reducing litter, enhancing biodiversity, supporting development of local volunteers and groups, addressing parking issues and reducing anti-social behaviour.

Members of The Dronfield Knitters for the Homeless group, which help reduce loneliness and isolation among their volunteers have said, “I love being part of something that makes a difference and stops me feeling so lonely." and “In a very small way our group shows that someone cares enough to help. The funding from NEDDC has enabled our project to thrive and we are very grateful for the help. We could not have continued after the first weeks without it.”

While funds are available, applications can be submitted at any time and will be assessed once submitted.
