The Government has introduced new restrictions to tackle the growing Covid-19 pandemic where people will go in large numbers.
In addition to the requirements for very large venues, a Covid Pass is required for entry for:
- all nightclubs, dancing halls and discotheques
- all pubs, clubs and other venues which open past 1am, serve alcohol, have a space for dancing in their premises and plays music for dancing.
Venues can choose what measures to put in place, and whether checks should begin from either the time the venue opens or the time the rules apply (from 1am).
Full guidance can be found on the government’s website, along with the specific exemptions in the new legislation.
