Residents looking for work are invited to attend a Jobs Fair later this month.
North East Derbyshire District Council has once again teamed up with JobCentre Plus for the event – one of several to take place across the district in recent months.
This latest jobs fair will take place on 29 September at Dronfield Sports Centre, in the Civic Centre, Dronfield, from 10am-12noon.
North East Derbyshire District Councillor Jeremy Kenyon, Cabinet Member for Economy, said: “I’d like to encourage anyone who is out of work or looking for a change of career to come along on the day to find out about the opportunities available.”
The fairs, led by NEDDC’s Community Employment Advisor Mark Szadura, are open to everyone, with no need to make an appointment. But job seekers registered with Jobcentre Plus can reserve their place by speaking with their work coach.
There will be lots of opportunities available on the day from a range of sectors including: clerical, hospitality, social care, manufacturing, logistics, transport and many more!
In addition there will be training opportunities and assistance with CV writing, applying for vacancies and careers advice.
Paul Munday, Employer Adviser at DWP Jobcentre Plus Derbyshire, said: “After the ongoing success of the recruitment events held in partnership with North East Derbyshire District Council, we are very excited to be running our next event in Dronfield on Thursday 29th September. This event will be a great opportunity to give the residents of Dronfield and surrounding areas the opportunity to speak to local employers and find sustainable employment.”
