Gain a valuable insight into the work of North East Derbyshire District Council and its housing partner Rykneld Homes at two Meet the Council events this spring.
Following the success of similar sessions in the District last year we will be holding an event on the following dates:
- Monday 16 May 2022, Barlow Village Hall, Millcross Lane, Barlow, S18 7TA
- Killamarsh (TBA later in the year)
Both events will take place between 5.30pm and 7.30pm, and will give people the chance to speak with councillors and officers, raise queries about the services we provide, obtain advice and guidance and find out more about our online services and how to sign-up for updates.
Question Time sessions will be chaired by North East Derbyshire District Council Leader, Cllr Alex Dale, at 6pm and 7pm, where a panel of Cabinet Members and Senior Officers will be available to address any questions from attendees.
Cllr Alan Powell, Cabinet Member for Leisure, Communities and Communications said: “By holding these events in the heart of our communities we are providing a great opportunity for our residents and customers to find out more about the work of the Council and raise questions directly with councillors and officers.
“We will also be presenting our short film which showcases the Council’s recent achievements, future plans and explaining what services we deliver.”
In addition we are planning an event in the summer at Killamarsh Sports Centre (when it re-opens after refurbishment), whilst further Meet the Council events will be held across the District later in the year.
There is no need to book on any of the events, just turn up on the day!
