National Empty Homes Week (15-21 February)

At a time when there is a national housing shortage it is more important than ever that local authorities tackle empty properties to help meet this need.

Recognising the importance of this issue North East Derbyshire District Council is working with E.ON to help deliver tailored solutions for owners of empty properties, to bring them back into use.

E.ON can offer you a free home survey, with no obligation. They will assess your property and you’ll get an action plan listing what needs to be done – then it’s up to you how you want to go ahead with any work.

E.ON can project manage the work for you from start to finish – whether your home just needs a lick of paint or a complete renovation. Or, they can also support you through the process if you choose to do the work yourself.

E.ON could offer flexible payment options for any works carried out, to suit your individual needs and they also use trusted local (where possible) contractors who will carry out the works to a high standard.

One resident has recently signed up to the service, following years of struggling to bring their property back into use, they advised us that: ‘I’ve tried on a number of occasions to tackle the problems myself, but I’m no expert. Receiving support from E.ON has been a massive help’.
