The Rotary Club of Chesterfield Scarsdale presented North East Derbyshire District Council Chairman with a £1000 donation for his chosen charity, Ashgate Hospicecare at a recent event.
The Rotary Club work hard throughout the year to raise funds for a number of worthy causes and chose the Chairman’s appeal as one of their beneficiaries.
North East Derbyshire District Council Chairman, Cllr Martin Thacker said, “I am delighted the Rotary Club have chosen my appeal as part of their charity offering and their £1,000 donation will go a long way to helping those in need.
It was a pleasure to spend time with members of the club and tell them about my civic year to date and outline the brilliant work of the hospice".
