It appears that James Rowe's winning formula as a football manager works off the pitch too!
James was the special guest at a Spireites' fundraising lunch in aid of the Chairman's Appeal for Ashgate Hospicecare. The total amount raised for the event was a tremendous £2,613.80.
Guests were able to gain a fascinating insight in to the world of football management and hear more about James Rowe's ambition for Chesterfield Football Club. This was followed by a Q&A session with probing questions from fans in attendance. An auction to become James' Assistant Manager for the day realised a winning bid of £1,000.
Chairman of NEDDC, Councillor Martin Thacker said: "Chesterfield Football Club has been a very generous supporter of charity. I am delighted that such as significant amount of money has been raised for the Hospice. I am grateful to Nick Johnson for his part in the success of the event and to James Rowe for giving of his time as he prepares for our next enthralling football game."
