We are delighted to once again be supporting the Great British Spring Clean, which takes place this year from 25 March-10 April.
Organised by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, the event aims to bring people together from across the country to clear the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and coastline.
Cllr Charlotte Cupit, Cabinet Member for the Environment, said: “While our street cleansing and environmental enforcement teams work hard all year round to keep our communities clean and litter free, it’s everyone’s responsibility to do the same.
“Litter is not only unsightly, but it can also be hazardous to the environment and dangerous to wildlife.
“Outdoor spaces provided a much needed escape for people during Covid lockdowns, so I’d urge people to continue looking after them and think about how they keep them looking great for generations to come.”
As well as loaning equipment, such as high visibility vests, litter picking tongs and rubbish bags, we’ll also pick up the litter you collect.
