The Working Communities Project
The Council run a free, voluntary and confidential support service which is offered to all residents in the District. We provide advice, guidance and resources tailored to anyone leaving the Armed Forces to help you back into the workplace. Working together on a one-to-one basis, you and your advisor will create a realistic plan to help you find employment. Some of the things we can help you with are: searching for a job, preparing your CV, filling in application forms, interview techniques and advice about benefits. If there is something we are unable to help you with, we can put you in touch with the right people for support.

Employment at NEDDC
As an employer, NEDDC provides an extra week’s paid leave for Armed Forces Community employees for military training as well as the potential for additional unpaid leave for armed forces duties subject to the needs of the service.
